Service fee schedule for editing and peer review support of articles published in the Journal of Law and Development

(L&D) On February 25, 2025, the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Law and Development signed Decision No. 04/2025/QĐ-PLPT promulgating the service fee schedule for support services provided by the Journal of Law and Development. This Decision takes effect from February 25, 2025.
SERVICE FEE SCHEDULE FOR EDITING AND PEER REVIEW SUPPORT OF ARTICLES PUBLISHED IN THE JOURNAL OF LAW AND DEVELOPMENT
(Issued together with Decision No. 04/2025/QĐ-PLPT of the Editor-in-Chief dated February 25, 2025)
1. Subject and scope of application
1. This fee schedule applies to all articles published in the Theoretical Research section.
2. It also applies to articles submitted by authors for publication in other sections that contain theoretical analyses and meet the requirements applicable to articles in the Theoretical Research section, as advised by the Editorial Board and agreed upon by the authors.
3. It likewise applies to articles submitted by authors for publication in the Theoretical Research section that have not yet met the section’s publication requirements, where the Editorial Board has provided consultation and the authors have agreed to such advice.
4. News items, advertorials under communication contracts, video clips, and interviews do not fall within the scope of this Fee Schedule.
5. This Fee Schedule is applied to authors on a voluntary basis, encouraging their joint contribution to the advancement of legal science.
2. Benefits of authors whose articles receive editorial support upon request
1. Authors’ articles shall be edited in compliance with the Journal’s regulations on formatting, citation style, and other formal requirements.
2. Authors shall receive guidance and advice from the Editorial Board on content improvement so that their articles meet the standards required for publication in the respective sections of the Journal.
3.Authors shall be advised by the Editorial Board to transfer their articles to sections with lower or higher requirements, as appropriate to the content of the article.
4. Authors shall receive peer review comments from the Editorial Board once their articles have satisfied the Journal’s requirements on format and basic content, particularly when the articles present a clear and relevant scientific standpoint or framework.
5. Authors shall be provided with consultation to revise and improve their articles in accordance with the assessments and recommendations of the reviewers.

(L&D) - On the occasion of the 43rd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (20 November 1982 – 20 November 2025), a working delegation of the Journal of Law and Development (the delegation), headed by journalist Phan Van Lam – Deputy Editor-in-Chief, paid visits and extended congratulations to several academies and universities in Hanoi.
(L&D) The Ministry of Science and Technology has recently promulgated regulations on scientific articles and the assessment and classification of Vietnamese scientific journals, creating a unified standard framework aimed at improving the quality and transparency of domestic scientific publishing activities.
(L&D) On October 21, 2025, the Journal of Law and Development, under the Institute for ASEAN Legal and Economic Studies (Vietnam Lawyers Association), held a ceremony to launch the English electronic edition of the Journal of Law and Development, marking an important milestone in its strategy for international integration and promoting Vietnamese law to the international community.
(L&D) – The content and format requirements for articles published in the Journal of Law and Development have been applied since June 21, 2024, pursuant to Decision No. 26/2022/QĐ-PLPT dated June 16, 2022.
(L&D) – A total of 150 gift packages, including essential supplies and cash, were delivered directly to households affected by Storm No. 11 (Matmo) in La Hien Commune, Thai Nguyen Province, on the morning of October 16 by the delegation from the Law and Development Journal and its partner organizations and benefactors.
(L&D) - In order to meet the needs for development and serve readers more effectively, the Journal of Law and Development has officially adopted a new interface with numerous modern features and has become one of the pioneering units applying AI technology to its content management platform, operating the current CMS in the “media landscape.”
