Disseminating the Political Theory Contest 2026 extensively, contributing to firmly safeguarding the Party's ideological foundation

Pursuant to Plan No. 99/KH-HVCTQG of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics on organizing the Sixth Political Theory Contest on protecting the Party’s ideological foundation in 2026 and relevant guiding documents, the Steering Committee 35 of the Party Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Lawyers Association has launched, disseminated, and encouraged participation in the contest among its affiliated Party cells, subordinate units, affiliated journals, and mass organizations.

This activity is of profound political significance, practically concretizing the requirement to strengthen the protection of the Party’s ideological foundation, while continuing to affirm the roles and responsibilities of Party committees at all levels, Party organizations, cadres, Party members, and association members in combating and refuting wrongful and hostile viewpoints; thereby contributing to maintaining the Party’s ideological stronghold in the new context.

In line with the directive spirit, affiliated Party cells, units, and mass organizations are required to intensify communication and widely disseminate the content and significance of the contest throughout the entire system; to encourage and motivate cadres, Party members, union members, association members, and employees to actively participate. The effective organization of communication efforts not only aims to expand the outreach of the contest but also contributes to enhancing political awareness, consolidating ideological steadfastness, vigilance, and capacity for struggle on the theoretical and ideological front.

For affiliated press agencies, the requirement is to continue promoting their core role on the information and communication front; to intensify thematic article series, journalistic products, and digital media content to disseminate the significance and importance of the contest. At the same time, the timely and synchronized publication of the plan, rules, thematic orientations for submissions, and relevant materials on the websites, fanpages, and electronic information portals of agencies and units must be ensured, thereby creating favorable conditions for cadres, Party members, and association members to access information and proactively participate.

One notable point is that each Party cell is to nominate from one to two members to directly prepare submissions for the contest. The Steering Committee 35 of the Party Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Lawyers Association is also expected to organize a session for discussion and orientation on the selection of topics and submissions by the end of March 2026. This constitutes a necessary preparatory step, reflecting a proactive and serious approach toward improving the quality of submissions, ensuring that entries adhere closely to political orientations, possess theoretical depth, practical value, and strong persuasiveness.

The participation in the 2026 Political Theory Contest, therefore, should not be limited to a mere emulation-oriented activity but must be identified as an important political task and a forum to promote the intellect, political steadfastness, and responsibility of cadres and Party members in Party building, safeguarding the Party, and protecting the regime. According to the plan, submissions are to be sent to the Party Committee of the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Lawyers Association before June 15, 2026 for content appraisal prior to submission to competent authorities in accordance with regulations. This timeline requires Party cells, units, and mass organizations to act promptly and proactively in selecting topics, assigning authors, and preparing submissions in a thorough and serious manner, ensuring both progress and quality.

It can be affirmed that the launching and implementation of the Sixth Political Theory Contest on protecting the Party’s ideological foundation in 2026 constitutes a practical step, contributing to further disseminating a sense of responsibility, political awareness, and concrete action throughout the entire system. This also provides an opportunity for each cadre, Party member, and association member to demonstrate their political steadfastness, intellect, and responsibility in meeting the requirements of safeguarding the Party’s ideological foundation, combating and defeating all plots and schemes of hostile forces, and contributing to building the Party into an increasingly pure and strong organization.
