Creating a forum for voters to directly exchange with candidates
The voter meeting is an important activity in the process of electing deputies to the National Assembly, aiming to create conditions for candidates to directly present their action programmes, while enabling voters to better understand the qualities, capacities, and working orientations of each candidate.
Constituency No. 5 has five candidates for deputies to the 16th National Assembly, including: Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai – President of the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front; Mr. Nguyen Cao Son – Vice President of the Viet Nam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, Chairman of the Phu Tho Entrepreneurs Association; Mr. Ngo Minh Trong – Director of Tan Truong Son One Member Limited Liability Company; Ms. Bui Thi Kim Tuyen – Rector of the Phu Tho Provincial Political School; and Ms. Doan Thi Hong Viet – Senior Lecturer of the Department of State and Law, Phu Tho Provincial Political School.
After listening to the brief introduction of the candidates’ biographies, voters were able to hear the action programmes of each candidate if entrusted by voters to be elected as deputies to the 16th National Assembly.
Speaking before voters, President of the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai expressed her honour at being introduced by the Central authorities to stand as a candidate for the National Assembly in Phu Tho Province – a land with distinctive historical and cultural traditions of the country.
She affirmed that, if entrusted by voters, she would strive to fully perform the responsibilities of an elected representative and actively listen to and truthfully reflect the opinions and aspirations of the people to the National Assembly and competent authorities.

According to Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Phu Tho Province still has many difficulties that need to be addressed. Therefore, in her role, she will closely coordinate with the province to propose to the Central authorities, the National Assembly, the Government, and ministries and sectors to continue improving the legal system, mechanisms, and policies in order to remove obstacles and create momentum for the local socio-economic development.
One of the priorities she emphasized is promoting policies for economic development associated with ensuring social security, particularly the effective implementation of national target programmes, including the programme on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.
Promoting the role of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front in strengthening the great national unity bloc
In her capacity as President of the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front, Bui Thi Minh Hoai emphasized that she will continue to advise and propose to the Party, the National Assembly, and the Government the issuance of guidelines and policies that concretize the viewpoints that “the people are the root”, “the people are the subject”, and “the people are the centre” in the process of national development.

In addition, the Viet Nam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations will continue to promote their core role in mobilizing the people to effectively implement the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies and laws, while ensuring that the people fully exercise their mastery through the principle of “the people know, the people discuss, the people implement, the people inspect, the people supervise, and the people benefit”.
According to her, consolidating the great national unity bloc and strengthening trust and consensus in society constitute an important foundation for achieving the country’s goals of rapid and sustainable development in the new period.
At the meeting, many voters expressed their confidence in the sense of responsibility and the serious preparation of the candidates. At the same time, voters also recommended that, if elected, the deputies should pay greater attention to supervision and social criticism regarding policies that directly affect people’s lives, especially in ethnic minority areas and regions still facing many difficulties.
Voters also expressed the hope that the deputies would strengthen dialogue and listen to opinions from the grassroots level, promptly synthesize and convey them to the National Assembly, the Government, and competent authorities, thereby continuing to promote the role of a bridge between the Party, the State, and the people.

On behalf of the candidates, President of the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai expressed her sincere thanks for the attention, trust, and dedicated opinions of the voters. She stated that the opinions contributed at the meeting would be seriously received in order to further improve the action programme, and affirmed that, if entrusted by voters, she would strive to fulfill the responsibilities of a representative of the people, meeting the expectations and trust placed by the voters.
The voter meeting is not only an occasion for candidates to present their action orientations but also contributes to strengthening the relationship between deputies and the people - an important factor ensuring that the National Assembly truly serves as the highest representative body of the people, fully reflecting the will and aspirations of voters nationwide.
