The televised bridge program “Two Hands Building a Nation” recreates the Pac Bo milestone and the process of laying the foundations of the revolutionary line, enabling viewers to deeply grasp that independence is the result of self-reliance and self-strengthening, of the power of unity and of sacrifice.

From the “Pac Bo starting point,” patriotism is rekindled through emotional resonance with the intellect, courage and spirit of commitment of earlier generations, so that each person today further cherishes and becomes more conscious of preservation.

The structure of the televised bridge program “Hai tay xây dựng một sơn hà” is organized along the line of thinking “from policy decisions to action, from history to the present era,” comprising three chapters: “Hands Charting the Path,” “The People’s Embrace,” and “Raising the Banner High.” The televised bridge program “Hai tay xây dựng một sơn hà” not only “retells history,” but also “opens a dialogue with the present.”

The four broadcast sites are designed according to the model of “source – diffusion – convergence.” A new feature of the presentation is that each broadcast site assumes a specific ideological function in the script, forming a single “line of connection.”

The overarching image throughout is “Hands”: hands setting out to seek the path to national salvation, hands marking the milestone of return, hands charting the revolutionary line amid hardship, and the hands of today’s generation clasped together to build the future. A simple symbol, yet powerful enough to connect history with the present.

Artistic performance at the Nghe An broadcast site

The expressive language takes music as the emotional thread, selecting representative songs from each period but presenting them in a contemporary manner, blending folk materials and regional folk songs to align with the broadcast sites. The artistic performances in the program combine regional folk elements - then singing, lullabies, vi giam, Southern folk materials - the convergence of many voices into a single spirit.

Speaking at the televised bridge program, General Secretary To Lam affirmed that the greatest value of the event marking Uncle Ho’s return to the country lies not only in history, but in the lessons that retain their full contemporary relevance.

These are lessons on self-reliance and self-strengthening - the prerequisite for firmly safeguarding national independence; lessons on relying on the people - the most enduring source of strength of the revolution; and lessons on combining national strength with the strength of the times: independence without isolation, integration without dissolution.

“In a context where the world is undergoing rapid change and strategic competition is intense, those lessons all the more remind us of the requirements as well as the principles: to preserve independence, internal strength must be sufficiently strong; to achieve sustainable development, social consensus is required; to go far, there must be steadfastness, autonomy, firm discipline, and the promotion of harmony,” General Secretary To Lam emphasized.

The 14th National Party Congress has clearly identified the vision and development goals of the country in the new period. The most important task at present is to make a strong shift from political determination to concrete action, from orientation to substantive results.

Clarifying the country’s goals toward 2030 and 2045, the General Secretary stated that those goals are not measured by slogans, but must be verified by the quality of the people’s daily lives and by the people’s trust in the Party and the State.

The program does not merely “retell history,” but emphasizes methodological lessons: to create opportunities, there must be vision, a correct line, and steadfast action; to achieve breakthroughs, the people must be placed at the center and social internal strength must be mobilized.

In that process, the revolutionary cradle region - first and foremost Cao Bang - holds a particularly important position, being both the birthplace of the Vietnamese revolution and a frontier, protective region of the Fatherland.

That guidance today is placed within new, higher requirements: higher resolve for self-reliance, stronger trust of the people, and higher quality of development. Caring for the revolutionary cradle regions, for ethnic minority compatriots, and for border areas is not only social policy, but an investment in the foundations of security and in the nation’s long-term future.

General Secretary To Lam noted that from Pac Bo - where Uncle Ho returned and placed his complete trust in the people - we more deeply grasp a simple yet profound truth: when the people’s will is firm, the country is firm; when the people have trust, no matter how difficult the task, it can be accomplished.

“Before the sacred spirit of our beloved President Ho Chi Minh, we pledge to unite as one, steadfastly adhere to the chosen path, and worthy inherit the legacy he left behind; to act resolutely and work effectively; for each level, each sector, and each cadre and Party member to heighten responsibility before the people, determined to build a peaceful, independent, self-reliant, strong and prosperous Viet Nam, making positive contributions to peace and development in the region and the world,” General Secretary To Lam stated.

The program does not merely “retell history,” but emphasizes methodological lessons: to create opportunities, there must be vision, a correct line, and steadfast action; to achieve breakthroughs, the people must be placed at the center and social internal strength must be mobilized.

When the values of 1941 (autonomy, unity, organization, discipline, decisiveness) are reflected in modern governance, trust and social consensus are nurtured, driving determination to act toward the goal of rapid and sustainable development.

When the values of 1941 (autonomy, unity, organization, discipline, decisiveness) are reflected in modern governance, trust and social consensus are nurtured, driving determination to act toward the goal of rapid and sustainable development.

The core message of the program is that a nation which once rose from hardship by its own hands can today go even further with the intellect and internal strength of a new era. The televised bridge “Two Hands Building a Nation” affirms that each individual is a “hand” of the country; when joined to a common goal and guided by a correct vision, a “development miracle” becomes achievable.

For young people, emotion is transformed into responsibility: patriotism is engagement in daily work; pride lies in study, labor, creativity, observance of discipline, and placing the common interest above personal interest.
