Nghe An: Pursuit of an Escaped Prisoner from a Detention Facility

(L&D) - A prisoner unexpectedly escaped from a detention facility under the Ministry of Public Security located in Nghe An province. Immediately thereafter, the warden of the facility issued a wanted decision, and functional forces were mobilized to pursue and apprehend the fugitive.
On August 19, information from the authorities of Hanh Lam commune (Nghe An) confirmed that functional forces were setting up checkpoints on major routes in an effort to apprehend a male prisoner who had escaped from the detention facility.

Previously, on the evening of August 18, the authorities of Hanh Lam commune received notification regarding prisoner Tran Ngoc Hoa (36 years old), residing in Tan Chau commune (formerly Dien Chau district), Nghe An province, who had escaped from custody.
Upon receiving notification from the Board of Wardens of Detention Facility No. 6, Hanh Lam commune mobilized approximately 100 individuals, including police officers, grassroots public security protection forces, and militia members, to coordinate in the pursuit and capture of prisoner Tran Ngoc Hoa.
Specifically, prisoner Tran Ngoc Hoa had been sentenced to 12 years’ imprisonment for the offenses of “Intentional Infliction of Bodily Harm” and “Destruction of Property”. Since December 1, 2021, prisoner Hoa had been serving his sentence at Subdivision No. 1 of Detention Facility No. 6, under the Ministry of Public Security, located in Hanh Lam commune, Nghe An province.

According to the wanted decision, prisoner Hoa is 1.6 meters tall, has a sunken nasal bridge, square drooping earlobes, and a concave scar located 1 cm from the end of the right eyebrow.
