(LND) – On the morning of November 10, the National Assembly passed a resolution electing Mr. Do Van Chien, Member of the Politburo and Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the National Assembly, to the position of Vice Chairman of the National Assembly.
Accordingly, after Mr. Do Van Chien was elected, the National Assembly now consists of Chairman Tran Thanh Man and the Vice Chairmen: Mr. Do Van Chien, Mr. Nguyen Khac Dinh, Mr. Nguyen Duc Hai, Mr. Tran Quang Phuong, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh, Mr. Vu Hong Thanh and Mr. Le Minh Hoan.

Career background of Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien
The newly elected Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Do Van Chien, is of the San Diu ethnic group; born on November 10, 1962; his hometown is Son Thuy Commune, Tuyen Quang Province.
Comrade Do Van Chien has been a member of the Central Committee of the Party for the X (alternate), XI, XII, and XIII terms; Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party for the XIII term; and a National Assembly delegate for the XIII and XIV terms.
He holds a degree in Agricultural Engineering and an advanced qualification in Political Theory.

According to Decision No. 2500 dated November 4, 2025, the Politburo decided to appoint, transfer, and assign Comrade Do Van Chien, Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Mass Organizations, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, to no longer participate in the XIII-term Secretariat, Central Committee, Standing Committee of the Party Committee, and to cease serving as Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Mass Organizations for the 2020-2025 term. He was transferred, assigned, and appointed to participate in the Central Committee, Standing Committee of the Party Committee, and hold the position of Permanent Deputy Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
On November 10, 2025, at the 10th session of the 15th National Assembly, Comrade Do Van Chien was elected by the National Assembly to the position of Vice Chairman of the National Assembly.
(L&D) – On the morning of 10 November, at the 10th session of the 15th National Assembly, Nguyen Van Quang — Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Party Committee of the Supreme People’s Court — was elected Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court.
(LND) - On the afternoon of November 7 in Hanoi, the Ministry of Justice and the Central Council for Coordination in Legal Dissemination and Education organized the ceremony in response to the Vietnam Law Day 2025, connected online to 34 locations across provinces and cities nationwide. This is a national-level highlight activity, marking the beginning of a broad political – legal movement across the country on the occasion of Vietnam Law Day (November 9).
(L&D)-The Government issued Government Resolution No. 86/GR dated November 4, 2025, on implementing key tasks to achieve the highest possible fulfillment of the 2025 socio-economic development targets, which includes provisions on the operation of two-tier local authorities and the reform of administrative procedures (APR).
(L&D)-The National Assembly’s Committee on Economic and Financial Affairs requested the Government to continue reviewing the regulations to ensure that the delegation and decentralization of powers are accompanied by enhanced objectivity, transparency, and effective management of the mobilization and utilization of loan capital.
(L&D) - As of July 1, 2025, together with the entire Dak Lak province, Ea M'Droh Commune officially operates under the two-level local government model. This marks a major turning point in the organization of the administrative apparatus, requiring quick adaptation, streamlined structure, and greater efficiency to better serve the people.
(L&D) The Two-level local government aims to place people at the center, institutional reform as the driving force, and digital technology as the foundation. The Government and the Prime Minister are resolutely promoting this model toward substantive, effective, and sustainable implementation.
